Christmas Mini Sessions of 2023 .... Santa arrives for 2024!!

Christmas was completely insane this year. I shot double the sessions from last year. They sold out in 4 days and I absolutely loved seeing all of my clients again. Your children literally grow before my lens…. <3

I have dreamed of the set we did for a very long time. I could finally put it together being in my own space for the very first year. The red side allowed all the kids to get crazy while the white side provided that simple shot that everyone was looking for on the Christmas card. So what tops this? A question that has plagued me since I designed this years set. Santa tops it …. he arrives on November 17 and November 23 in 2024. It’s been a long time of doing this! Almost 9 years… it all started with my little girl Ella. I fell in love with her hospital photos that were done at Magee and quickly realized that the photography style I liked was all across the river. So I decided that I would make something great on this side of the rivers! 9 years later and here we are! Ranked on google, busy as ever and finally having a studio space of my own. Don’t ever give up on your dreams… they do become reality. Below is a photo of a recent newborn session ! Red is a favorite color to photograph, from maternity to babies to birthdays to anniversaries, etc.

Newborn Photography in Pittsburgh is definitely full with photographers …. but the style is important. We all have a different style, from tones to color, posing to lifestyle , lighting naturally or artificially. So while I understand price is always a factor, choose someone based on who’s style you love. Spending 500 on newborn photos may seem like a lot… but throwing 250 away on photos you won’t like is worse… and you don’t get that time back. Some people don’t ever see a difference in photos. I’m sure there’s people who don’t see a difference in my photographs from the lady that charges 50 dollars. But then there are my wonderful clients… who definitely see the difference. They see the difference in my professionalism, my quality and a gorgeous final product. They return year after year and I’m so thankful for them. So find someone you love, that will become the photographer that takes all the photos of your family as it grows. Maybe in 15 years, I’ll become a senior photographer as all my little baby clients will be fully grown! It’s been the best 9 years running this business.

I always loved the Kevin Hart audio on Instagram… “you don’t start things and not finish it, you don’t quit, there is nothing that comes out of quitting except knowing you didn’t finish, ….. if you’re gonna do it, do it to try and be the best, not be better than other people, be the best for you”. This sweet little gal slept like a little dream for her session. Those tiny details were all captured on the macro lens. I use a canon 105mm macro. The rest of the session is shot on a 35mm art lens. The emerald set looked beautiful with her skin tone. I’m just here for all the fuzzy bonnets.

This session took around 3 hours to complete while mom and dad just sit back and relax. Baby’s first photos are so important. The time is fleeting so be sure to get on the schedule during the second trimester to make sure you get a spot on the schedule. I am booking into October!

Spring Mini’s went Live and this year they are located at the new Little Feathers Studio! If you’ve been following me you know I’ve been in this business a very long time. 8 years to be exact and I have wanted a space to call my own.

That beautiful space is now built and finished! Spring Mini’s will be held here along with all other mini’s throughout the year. It is a beautiful space for those lifestyle newborn shoots where you’ve wanted them, but your home wasn’t photo ready. Now there’s no question on where to do these!
